Carter County Relay for Life

July 1, 2016 - 6:39 pm

Each year our Silver Angels office in Elizabethton participates in Relay for Life for the Carter County area. If you aren’t familiar with Relay for Life, it is an overnight fundraising walk organized by the American Cancer Society. The funds raised from the walk help with Cancer Research, Support and Awareness. The event started back in 1985 in Tacoma, Washington but today Relay for Life has become worldwide! Our office completed several fundraising events, including a large yard sale. Through their ongoing efforts, our team not only met their fundraising goal but exceeded it by about $200! Michelle Green, our Director at the Elizabethton office, would like to thank everyone for their help with fundraising for this event. On the evening of the Relay, the office set up a camping themed tent with food, S’mores and glow sticks for participants. It looks like they had a great time, for a great cause! We look forward to seeing what they come up with for next years Relay! Great job Silver Angels Elizabethton!
